Ryan-My Family...

I am nearly seventeen, and my doctor said I can go for my driving license soon. I started having seizures when I was about seven. The doctor gave me medicine for them, and I have been taking that up until about a year ago. When I was in grade five and six I had the most turns, I was having them every couple of months. Sometimes I would just black out, and I hated that, because the school called an ambulance and everyone made a fuss. But sometimes I just got a weird feeling in my head, its hard to describe it, or else I could hear this noise, like a sort of buzzing in my ears for a while. 

But when I was in Grade 8 I hardly had any more, and then they just stopped altogether. I was so happy about that. I am in Grade 12 now, and feel good, I haven’t any more seizures and no medication and the doctor says he thinks its gone, that I’ve just grown out of it.  

I have two brothers, Ryan and Luke, and one sister Emily.  Ryan and Emily both have diabetes, they have both had it since they were little, and have to have injections all the time for it. I wish they could grow out of their diabetes like I grew out of my epilepsy.
